My Boys of Fall...

Fall has come and in this house hold that means FOOTBALL!!! Matt (#58) and Dylan (#99) are both playing and on different teams this year. Our schedules have been hectic to say the least. It is all worth it for this mom when I see my boys in their pads and helmets ready for the game. I am very proud of my Boys of Fall...they both love the game, play hard, and have great sportsmanship. Here are a few pictures...more to come I promise

Yellowstone 2010

To wrap up the summer vacation we headed to Yellowstone. We went with Shane, Heidi, and the young four Heil kids. We had an amazing time. The company was great, the laughs were many, and of course the scenery, wildlife, and mother nature were beautiful and breath taking. Chad and the boys had never been to Yellowstone and I hadn't been there since I was young.

While in Yellowstone our number one goal was to see a bear!!! Well we got lucky more than once. We saw two black bears. Onw was up in some trees and it was hard to get pictures so Chad being as crazy as he is decided to go up the hill side and see if he could get some good pictures. He got about 20 yards away and took some pictures. When he got back to the truck his ahnds were shaking with adrenaline. He told us that he could hear the bear eating. The second black bear we came across was walking along the bank of Yellowstone Lake. We all were looking down one this blaxk bear from the embankment. The boys were so excited to get that close to a bear...we were about 15 yards away. We also got lucky and were able to see about 7 grizzly bears. Two females, one male, and 4 cubs...no pictures of these 7 magnificent creatures. They were too far away feeding on a bison. We were only able to see them through spotting scopes. This was a sight to see. The trip was a success!!!!

Here are some random pictures of our wonderful vacation. Heading home for Yellowstone was the official end to the summer vacation for the Smuin Family and now we move on to school and of course FOOTBALL!!!

Smuin Summer Splash

This year we decided to have a big end of summer party. I asked Chad what he thought if we let the boys invite some friends to the park and have pizza, drinks, and some water to end their summer. Chad wanted to rent some big blow up water slides and snow cones. The next thing I know there are about 80 people invited to the party. We had a great turn out ~ about 70 or so people showed. The party was a great success. I want to thank everyone that came and look forward to next year.

Paiute Trail

The family headed down south to a ride the trails. We headed down with the Leatherow family to ride, laugh, and have a great time! This vacation made for some great memories. I have to say that this mom had many fist clenching moments...as I watched both Matt and Dylan take off on quads by themselves and when Matt and Dylan drove the Ranger with a cliff on one side. Chad made for some great laughs. He chased cows, pretended to be a big buck in running across the road, and just told stories and jokes.
