Jr. PeeWee Football ~ Matt

Well Matt's team made the playoffs this year! We were all excited and his team played hard through all the games...unfortunately their playoff run came to an end. Matt's team made it to the semi finals and if they won this game they were in the mini bowl. The team fought and played hard. All the boys left everything out on the field, but in the end the score was not in their favor. I have to say this mom was very proud! Matt played a great season and even when things were looking down he never gave up!! Matt I want you to know I am so proud of you. Matt, Chad, Dylan, and I want to thank everyone that came out to support both teams through out the season and the playoffs. We love you all!! Here are a few pictures of Matt after the last game of the season. His head held high and with great reason!

Heil Halloween Party

The annual Heil Halloween Party was a great success!! There was great food, games, pumpkin carving and laughs. Dylan dressed as a vampire, Lisa was a lion, I was a spider mom, and Matt decided not to dress up because his costume scared Lisa...he is being Jason (I think that is one who wears the hockey mask. Can you tell I have not seen those kind of movies and either has he it was all Chad's idea). This year my dad decided to announce that the pumpkins would be judged and the best pumpkin would win a great prize. That got everyone's attention and they were off to start carving. While all the older kids were carving Lisa and AJ decided to help themselves to the water used to clean up the older kids. Do you want to know who won the pumpkin carving contest?...EVERYONE won and they were all rewarded a crisp $1 bill Now for the part all the kids have all been waiting for...APPLE BOBBING!!! There was going to be a contest this year to see who do it the fastest and again a great prize was waiting for the winner. All the kids decided to get down and wet for the prize. They are getting better and better every year and less afraid to get drenched. Even my Grandma got involved in the action. Colton won the prize with an astonishing time of 4 seconds and his Great Grandma Heil tied him! What a women she is. Congrats Colton he won $5.I have to say that I am truly blessed for a family tradition that everyone looks forward to and absolutely love. I have the BEST Family and here are some more pictures for your enjoyment!!!

Our new addition

We have a new addition in our home. Her name is Lisa and she is 19 months old. She has added so much to our family. We are her foster family. We all love her and she has the boys wrapped around her little finger. I have to say that having a little girl around the house is a whole new experience for this mom. Chad likes to joke with me that I have a barbie doll. I have to say that I love dressing her in the cute bright clothes and doing her hair with pretty bows and flowers. She came into our home on October 15 (my mom's birthday). She got to join in our family tradition to celebrate Grandma Chris's birthday by sending her balloon in heaven. She is doing well and everyday she is doing something new and making great strides. Here are a few pictures on our sweet new addition.

Youth Duck Hunt 2010

As you all know fall means football for this family, but it also means hunting. Matt took hunters safety last winter and got his shot gun from Santa Claus and the only thing that was left was to use the gun at his first youth duck hunt. Chad and Matt left our house at 2:00 am on Saturday October 2. Yes you read it right 2:00 in the morning to get out to the marsh and meet up with the Leatherow family. As for me and Dylan we got up and saw the two off and then went back to bed. We did get text updates on how the hunt was going. Matt got his first duck and goose that morning and the smile on his face is priceless and made the early morning worth it. Here are a few pictures of the all the boys in the marsh.
